This page contains "THE CHURCH JOURNEY" Information & Blogs

Looking at 2021 I will continue to post Gospel related posts ” THE BIBLE JOURNEY”.   Some of the posts will be churches that I visit, and others will be sharing inspirational pictures that I capture along each new journey.

My goal in 2020 was to visit 52 churches I am happy to report that I met my goal. I have enjoyed this journey, which allowed me to share the history and pictures of the wonderful churches I have visited on my Journeys. More important it allowed me the opportunity to share the Gospel with people around the world.   I appreciate each and every one of you that took the time read my posts.

THE MISSION: The Church Journey is a mission to visit 52 churches in one year. During each visit capture photos of the church.  If available meet the pastor and staff. Find a quite location and spend time meditating and praying for the congregation and the church missions. To enhance each visit the optimal journey time would be during the church office hours, but the journey can happen on any day.

THE OBJECTIVE: is to spiritually draw closer to our Lord through the power of prayer at each divine location. With the main focus of glorifying God in every step of the journey.  To share the journey with others, while increasing the awareness of the impact, and history churches have on our community.

To God be the Glory, may this find you well and happy.  God Bless

WHAT TO EXPECT FOLLOWING THIS JOURNEY:  This journey is not about reviewing or comparing one church to another. That is why I do not go into details on all the good things each church is doing. As a visitor I just don’t have the insight on everything each church is involved in. This blog is just covering my journey, my experiences, my reflection during each visit as I spend time in prayer and meditation.  If you would like to learn more about each church,  I encourage you to visit the church website.

THE VISION:  Churches have been established for over 2000 years. It is estimated that there is over 300,000 churches in America. I have always felt a strong spiritual connection in the present of a church. I think about all the sermons that led people to ask Jesus into their lives as their savior.  All the happiness and joy of weddings. The tears and sadness of funerals.

Most churches with a long history have transitioned through multiple buildings over the years. This serves as a reminded that buildings can change, but it’s the people that make up the church through the body of Christ.  I am thankful for the many people who have dedicated their self by providing their time as well as tithes and offerings to build and support the church. More important God owns the church, God orchestrates it, everything we have is provided by God. The people are just the stewards to what God has provided. We are blessed to be in trusted with the management of what is God’s. Through this relationship it allows the church to act as a conduit to reach out to the unsaved.

“The earth is the LORD’s and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it” – (Psalm 24-1)

Important part of this Journey will be spending time meditating and praying. Prayer is one of the most important things a Christian can do. It is a time to communicate with God. The Gospels are full of references to the prayers of Christ.

“Through prayer, we have the opportunity to glorify and praise Him for all He is and has done” – (1 Thessalonians 5:18). NIV

“Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.” – (Mark 1:35). NIV
